Dr. Lia Patricia Gallo-Urrego is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EquiVox™. A bilingual dentist with more than 30 years of clinical experience across the United States and Latin America, she brings deep firsthand insight into the communication challenges affecting modern healthcare systems. After decades in patient care, and later navigating the healthcare system as a patient herself, Dr. Urrego recognized a persistent systemic gap: healthcare organizations could extensively document what was delivered but often had limited visibility into what patients truly understood. That realization became the foundation for EquiVox™ and its vision of measurable communication visibility across healthcare environments. Dr. Urrego completed advanced education in artificial intelligence and healthcare systems through Harvard Medical School and MIT, with a focus on healthcare AI implementation, operational strategy, and communication infrastructure. Under her leadership, EquiVox™ was recognized as a Top 3 Global Innovation at Harvard Medical School's AI in Health Care program.
James Tobias, LLB (Hons)
Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer
James Tobias is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of EquiVox™, where he leads product strategy, platform experience, and go-to-market execution. With more than 18 years of experience building digital products across healthcare, real estate, and entertainment, he specializes in transforming complex ideas into scalable, market-ready platforms. Originally trained in law in the United Kingdom, James brings a multidisciplinary approach that combines product strategy, user experience, operational thinking, and systems-level problem solving. His background spans product strategy, UX design, full-stack development, and digital ecosystem architecture, allowing him to bridge vision, execution, and enterprise usability across the full product lifecycle. At EquiVox™, he helps shape the platform's communication infrastructure, product architecture, user experience, and operational deployment strategy.
Matt Lewis
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Matt Lewis is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of EquiVox™, where he leads platform architecture, infrastructure strategy, scalability, and enterprise systems development. With more than 25 years of experience architecting and scaling enterprise technology systems, he brings deep expertise across healthcare, financial services, government, and large-scale operational environments. Matt currently serves as Senior Director of Architecture at Pegasystems, where he leads enterprise architecture strategy and complex systems execution across global platform environments recognized by Gartner and Forrester. His expertise includes enterprise architecture, AI infrastructure, cloud systems, cybersecurity, middleware environments, and operational scalability for highly regulated industries. At EquiVox™, he helps shape the technical foundation behind the company's communication infrastructure, comprehension systems, deployment architecture, and long-term platform scalability.
Dr. Dominique Eggermont, MD, MMM
Founding Chief Medical & Global Strategy Officer
Dr. Dominique Eggermont is an internationally recognized physician and healthcare strategist with more than 30 years of experience across healthcare infrastructure, MedTech, and global medical operations. Throughout his career, he has lived and worked across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, bringing deep expertise in operational healthcare leadership within complex international environments. His experience includes leading the medical division of the $2B Chernobyl New Safe Confinement Project, directing large-scale International SOS operations across Northern Africa and the Sahel, and serving as a regional COVID-19 response leader in Singapore. At EquiVox™, he helps guide global healthcare strategy, operational scalability, institutional positioning, and international healthcare deployment.
